my mother’s day…

For mother’s day last month, my family ordered the print I had been wanting and had it professionally framed. There is actually a humorous story that goes along with that, but I will save that for another time. It happened that I really needed a haircut that weekend. I had planned to get one before the baby came, and then she came early. My husband and kids decided to stay home while I went to get a haircut, baby in sling.

When we got back home, I was greeted with a site in the kitchen. My family was almost finished making this:

It was a homemade cookie cake. I must say it was very delicious. My husband has been hinting that he would like a cookie cake for father’s day.
