For a while, I’ve been able to enjoy a relaxing bath to myself, at least for a little while. Those days are gone for now.
A couple of weeks ago, my 11 month old stood at the edge of the tub as I climbed in. However, instead of playing with toys for just a few minutes before asking to get in, she pointed in the tub, signed “want” “me” and then proceeded to climb in. I caught her before she actually got in, holding her off for the seconds it took me to strip her clothes off.
I don’t mind sharing my baths with her for now. She will only be little for so long, and then she will be gone. I will miss the little snuggles, hugs, kisses, and requests to have me nurse the bath toys. I can find other ways to get a few moments for myself . for now, I will enjoy having my little bath buddy.

Awwww, so sweet! And on a morning when I really want a shower. My 19mo loves the bath and the shower so if Mommy is in, she must be in too! She requests baths often, though, and I try to drop everything and oblige whenever I can. We laugh and have so much fun in the bath!
