When we moved to this area of the country seven years ago, it was never our plan to stay. At the time, though we had always planned to homeschool, we didn’t even think to check the homeschool laws in this state. Our oldest was only 18 months old at the time, and it wasn’t something that we realized we should be doing.
Luckily, we happened to move to a state which is very homeschool friendly. As we consider what area of the country might be the best fit for our family, I have found myself perusing HSLDA’s listing of homeschool laws by state. Since our children’s right to learn is important to us, the laws which govern that right are equally important in our minds.
