Becoming a Process Knitter

I’ve never really enjoyed knitting. As far as knitting goes, I was purely a product knitter. Rather than enjoying the process, I would concentrate on the fact that if I were sewing, I could have drafted a pattern, cut out the fabric, and had the entire project completed, as I sat there, still knitting away. And yet, for some things, I still love the look of knitted items.

This year I’ve stuck with it. I’ve varied my projects, learning new techniques with each one, and at some point, I started relaxing with the process. I think I’m finally well on my way to be a process knitter. It’s amazing what a year and some resolve will do.
