We made these chalkboards for less than $6. I bought a 2 foot by 4 foot board at the local home improvement store and asked them to cut it in half for me. With a little sanding, it was ready for some chalkboard paint that we had leftover from years ago. The top board is perfect to list meals and items that we need to pick up. The bottom board is at a great height for the kids to draw and write. Next we need to build a little tray to hold chalk.
