Part of my goal in simple living, or living simply, is to truly enjoy all of the little things that make up life. Life is fleeting. I don’t want to look back in my old age and wish I had lived my life differently. I want to savor every laugh and giggle, every tiny toe and slobbery kiss, every conversation, every sunset and touch of my loved ones. If I’m not fortunate enough to live to see my children grown, I’d like them to look back and remember the time and love I shared with them.
One of our family’s favorite songs in Five For Fighting’s 100 Years. I don’t think my husband and I have ever listened to the song without kissing and most likely embracing and dancing. It’s a reminder to us how precious and short life can be.
